Cracking the Code: Inspiring the Next Generation of Women in Tech
Computer science has a representation problem—especially for women of color. Code.org, backed by tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, is on a mission to change that by ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn coding.
To inspire the next wave of female coders, we partnered with Rabbit! Rabbit! to create a bold, culture-driven hero film targeting high school girls. The spot reframed coding—not just as a tool for building websites and apps, but as a gateway to the worlds they already love: fashion, beauty, design, sports, and beyond.
A second film, produced in collaboration with Disney for the release of Snow White, further amplified the message. Both films, supported by a suite of social assets, were brought to life by a majority-female team, with the extraordinary Amy Rice and me co-directing.
